We love traveling with this awesome travel cage that will NOT overheat in the sun on a sunny car seat, as do acrylic carriers. Convert the unit from a cage to a perch by attaching the second pedicure perch above the door on the front, pull out the tray, and place an extra newspaper inside under the grate. Notice how the front edge of the cage is resting on the tray to elevate the perch attached above the door. When the door is open, the bird will move up to the high front perch because it is the highest point. When birdy gets hungry, if you leave the door open -- he will climb back inside for a snack.
